Labor of Love
SWR Teachers need all the love they can get.
The author of SWR, Wanda Sanseri, wrote The WISE Guide for Spelling text over a period of 10 years. Why? Because she was still homeschooling her sons. She knew taking care of their education was top priority.
But that project, that major work of teaching spelling that was birthed of God’s vision and of necessity, stayed on her desk in the basement, waiting for completion. Mrs. Sanseri knew that homeschool moms needed more guidance for the day to day consistency of teaching. And she finished it.
She has worked to keep costs low, yet has added some conveniences over the years. At first, all sets of flash cards needed hand-cutting at home or in the classroom, and eventually perforations were added for ease. Instructions direct teachers to add red marks (and lamination if desired), but it’s easy to overlook those details in the rush to take the cards into the teaching room.
Now you can save even more effort. When you find these items here in the pages of Wise Spelling SWR.com, you’ll squeal in delight when the package arrives and…voila! The cards are pulled, the red marks are added, and the stacks are banded.
Now that’s a labor of love!
The Bedees of Wise Spelling are empty-nesters. The idea was borne in desire to give back, to serve, during pandemic times. It’s not hard to enjoy a movie together in our living room and carefully pull apart the cards, readying them for weary homeschool moms and dads and overworked classroom teachers.
Enjoy and spread the word: that’s one thing that can be crossed off the To-Do List!
