Basic and Advanced online training in one professional development course! Learn how to use spelling as the foundation for teaching writing and reading. Many good readers are poor spellers, but our students do both well. This method adapts to all ages from preschool to adult.
The material is presented through a semester three-month-long class, spreading out the instruction once a week, 2 hours for 12 weeks. With sufficient time, it helps to unlearn what was incorrectly taught so you can successfully and confidently learn phonics correctly and efficiently. Taking the time to spread out what is being learned allows time to absorb the content and understand how to go forward with confidence.
Based on historically, solidly proven research and successful methods, you will learn to:
· Teach spelling, writing and reading using multi-sensory instruction that enables all learning styles to excel
· Present reliable phonics in a way that is 93-97% accurate, explain "sight words" and "exceptions"
· Teach students to THINK, not guess
· Evaluate spelling and reading progress
· Save time and money using non-consumable supplies over many years of instruction.
